Paul starts off talking about his manner of preaching and how comfortable he is about how he was received by the Thessalonians. He tells them his preaching isn’t about useless or foolish questions, but sound and solid truth.

Christian life is a life of change. God is transforming us into the image of Christ. He works on us from the inside out. He provides power so we can obey His commands. Today we look at God's love towards us and how we are to show to show that love to others.

Being in step is another way to address something we use to call “Backsliding”. The lesson today addresses discord among members and the need we have to evaluate ourselves to make sure we are in step with or behavior and responsibilities in a manner that is pleasing to Christ. He talks about mutual love and unity and the means to promote such.
